Chico Freeman & Antonio Faraò 4tet
With a saxophonist father who was a member of the bop movement, Chico Freeman taught at the AACM (1) and has worked with top jazz musicians since the 1970s in addition to leading his own groups. Originally from Chicago, he toured the world before settling in Switzerland.
In March 2025, Chico Freeman performed Tribute To Coltrane at Club Chorus, in a 4tet with Italian pianist Antonio Faraò and drummer Paolo Pellegatti, and with Heiri Känzig on double bass, with whom he produced the duo album The Arrival in 2015 (2).

Chico Freeman trio
In October 2020 Chico Freeman performed Exotica at Club Chorus in a trio with Heiri Kaenzig on double bass and Reto Weber on the hang and percussion (1).
