Having multiple projects seems to be the hallmark of a jazz bassist. Louise Knobil, a talented young Swiss double bass and bass player, is no exception, following in the footsteps of her great influences Charles Mingus and Esperanza Spalding. She explored funk-rock with her band Queen's Underwear, then Brazilian groove with Kilario. In 2023, she produced the glittery post-bop single Knobil or not Knobil and has been touring with her trio ever since, while completing her Masters in Music at HEMU. 

Louise Knobil takes the liberty of singing in French alongside her double bass to share « her musical diary of polyamory, sleep deprivation and pesto recipes ». We have already seen the ad for the Swiss Army Knife : a veritable tool chest of pocket knife. Will the Knobil be the next (musical) edition?
